Hotel Mignon offers a decent balance between affordability and comfort for travelers looking to explore Milan. Located a 25-minute walk from the city center, it nestles in a quiet neighborhood which felt safe to explore, even during late hours-a definite plus for solo travelers or those in groups. The rooms are tidy and include basic amenities such as free toiletries and a flat-screen TV, catering to essential needs. The staff is accommodating, always ready to assist guests unfamiliar with the city. Do note that breakfast isn't included despite being indicated online, which was a bit of a letdown. the absence of an elevator can be a challenge, especially after a long day of exploring, but it adds a touch of authenticity to the experience. While the room had a slightly musty odor common in older establishments, opening windows poses its own challenges with street noise. Given the warm climate during our stay, I recommend springing for the additional fee for air conditioning, as it can make a notable difference in comfort. Mignon is an economical choice for short stays, offering adequate comfort without breaking the bank; just be prepared for a few quirks of older buildings in Europe.
